Meet Asel. Hailing from the enigmatic steppes of Kazakhstan, she’s fluent in Russian, ethnically Turkic, and with a name derived from the Persian word for ‘honey’. She’s proud of her Kazakh roots and this passion has driven her to create Noma Design Group, where she’s able to share this nomadic culture through jewelry and fashion. She is also trained in architecture and interior design, having spent far too many hours, unblinking, in front of CAD software. In her natural environment, she can often be seen consuming a cornucopia of sugar-laden desserts – a staple of her diet and her enthusiastic attempt to fulfill her namesake.
