Meet Alicia. She is ethnically Jamaican/Canadian/European and was raised in North Vancouver. Her Jamaican grandmother owned a salon when she was growing up, so you could say hair styling is in her blood. She actively works in the film industry and is the founder of The Texture Workshops, an education platform that teaches hairstylists more about black hair textures. During her breaks from work, she loves to travel, cook for friends and family, and if she really has the time, relax in bed. If you ask her friends they would say she is a hard worker, kind, and thoughtful – we couldn’t agree more.
